First Visit (COMPLIMENTARY)

Your journey begins with a complimentary consultation, during which we take the time to understand your dental needs and goals thoroughly. During this visit, you’ll receive:

  • A thorough consultation with one of our highly skilled dentists, who will assess your oral health, discuss your treatment options, and tailor a personalised plan for you.
  • CT scan and restorative scan: These state-of-the-art imaging techniques ensure the most accurate diagnosis, allowing us to plan your implant placement with precision.
  • Photographs of your mouth: We take detailed images to help us monitor your progress and provide you with the best possible care.

After this consultation, you will have a complete understanding of your treatment plan, and any questions you may have will be answered in full.

Second Visit – Surgery & Temporary Teeth

On your second visit, we will carry out your implant surgery with the utmost care and precision. Our surgeons, who are internationally renowned for their skills, will ensure that your procedure is smooth, efficient, and as comfortable as possible. During this visit, you will also receive temporary teeth to wear while your permanent implants are healing. These temporary teeth are custom-designed to look natural and function effectively, allowing you to enjoy a beautiful smile while you wait for your final restoration.

Review at 6-12 Months

Following your surgery, we’ll schedule a review appointment between 6 and 12 months after your implant procedure. This allows us to assess the progress of your healing and ensure your implants are integrating with your jawbone as expected. At this stage, we’ll also discuss your permanent restorations, ensuring that your final results meet your highest expectations.

We understand that transparent and upfront pricing is essential, primarily when investing in your smile. Our pricing is transparent, with no hidden costs or surprise fees. You’ll know exactly what to expect and how your treatment will progress from start to finish.

Frequently asked questions

Who is a candidate for dental implants?

Most healthy individuals with sufficient bone density in their jaw are good candidates for dental implants. If bone density is insufficient, a bone graft may be recommended. In cases of limited bone, advanced techniques such as bone grafting, sinus lifts, or the use of pterygoid or zygomatic implants can be considered to help restore bone volume and allow for successful implant placement.

Is the dental implant procedure painful?

The procedure is typically performed under local anaesthesia so that you won’t feel pain during the surgery. Post-procedure discomfort can be managed with over-the-counter pain medications.

How long does the dental implant process take?

The entire process can take several months, as it includes the placement of the implant and the healing time for your bone to fuse with it. This usually takes about 3-6 months, followed by the attachment of the crown. However, some patients may opt for the “Teeth in a Day” procedure, where temporary teeth are placed on the same day as the implant surgery, allowing you to leave the practice with functional teeth while the implants heal. The permanent crowns are placed after the healing process is complete.

What is the success rate of dental implants?

Dental implants have a high success rate of around 95-98%. Success can be influenced by factors such as oral health, smoking, and bone quality.

How do I care for my dental implants?

Caring for dental implants is similar to caring for natural teeth. Brush and floss daily, visit your dentist regularly, and avoid habits like smoking that can impact the longevity of the implant.

What are the differences between titanium and zirconia dental implants?

Titanium implants are the most commonly used because they offer excellent biocompatibility and durability. Zirconia implants are a newer alternative and are often chosen by patients who are allergic to metals or prefer a metal-free option. Zirconia offers the benefit of a more natural colour, but titanium is still considered superior for long-term success and strength.

What are pterygoid implants, and when are they used?

Pterygoid implants are a type of dental implant placed in the back of the upper jaw near the pterygoid bone. These implants are ideal for patients with significant bone loss in the upper jaw who may not be candidates for traditional implants. They provide stability and support for dental restorations without requiring bone grafts.

What are zygomatic implants, and when are they necessary?

Zygomatic implants are long dental implants placed in the cheekbone(zygoma) rather than the upper jaw. They are typically used for patients with severe bone loss in the upper jaw who are unable to undergo bone grafting procedures. Zygomatic implants offer a reliable solution for patients requiring full-mouth rehabilitation when traditional implants are not feasible.

What are advanced techniques in dental implants?

Advanced techniques in dental implantology include procedures like sinus lifts, bone grafting, and computer-guided surgery. These methods allow implant placement in patients with insufficient bone density or complicated anatomical structures. Advances in 3D imaging and digital planning tools have also improved the precision and success rates of implant surgeries.

What is a CBCT scan, and why is it important for dental implants?

A Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scan is a specialised type of 3D X-ray that provides detailed images of the jawbone, teeth, nerves, and other structures. It is used in dental implant planning to assess bone volume and density, as well as to identify potential issues that may affect the implant’s success. CBCT scans enable dentists or oral surgeons to plan implant placement with precision, thereby reducing risks and enhancing the overall success of the procedure.

Why is it not recommended to get dental implants abroad (e.g., Turkey Teeth)?

While obtaining dental treatment abroad, especially in countries offering low-cost implants, may seem like an appealing option, several risks should be considered. Many dental clinics abroad may not follow the same stringent health and safety standards as those in your home country.

You may also experience limited aftercare, which can make it challenging to address complications that arise once you return home.

Furthermore, travelling for treatment can be costly if issues arise and you need to return for follow-up care or corrections. It’s essential to prioritise the quality of care and aftercare over the cost savings to ensure the long-term success of your dental implants.

How do I know if dental implants are right for me?

A thorough consultation with your dentist or oral surgeon will help determine if dental implants are the best option for you. They will assess your oral health, bone density, and overall medical condition to ensure you’re a suitable candidate for the procedure. In some cases, additional treatments like bone grafting or sinus lifts may be required to make you a candidate for dental implants.

Can I get dental implants if I have gum disease?

It’s essential to have healthy gums before undergoing dental implant surgery. If you have gum disease, it must be treated and resolved before proceeding with the implant procedure. Active gum disease can lead to implant failure; therefore, it’s essential to achieve good gum health before initiating the implant process.

Can I get dental implants if I'm missing multiple teeth?

Yes, dental implants can be used to replace one or more missing teeth. If you’re missing several teeth, implants can be used to support a bridge or a complete denture, restoring both function and appearance. In cases where a full set of teeth is missing, implant-supported dentures are an excellent option for replacing an entire dental arch.

How long do dental implants last?

With proper care and maintenance, dental implants can last many years, often 20 years or more. The implant itself is made of titanium, which is highly durable, but the crown may need to be replaced after several years due to wear and tear. Regular dental visits will help ensure your implants and restorations remain in good condition.
